Half-wolf woman,
Bite the hand that feeds
Muzzle men, and man, and their puppet god
Who's verses have strung and stripped my power from me

He, who has reduced us to a uterus
Through doctrines manmade
Indoctrinated to a life led as livery cattle, generations bred and raised
To be his perfect private virgin, whore, and paltry maid

Praying for utmost purity and innocence,
Camouflaged for control's sake

From womb to lamb to lioness's rage
I've become a predator,
to protect their prey
May the hunted become the hunters,
Never again a trophy on display

Now, repent the day
You took our autonomy away

In a game of instincts,
We'll have them running for the trees
Sacred rage of the earth
Like volts of static charged beneath our feet,
Even our first mother, victim to a bastard's greed

Before I ever bare my soul,
I’ll bear my teeth down on their throat
Excerpt the violence of coerced silence, and execute the consequences of forced control

May the jaws of life teach them a valuable lesson, and hemorrhage the pressure of every false king's oppression
Of our expression
For the blood on their hands,
has only displayed a miscarriage of command

Your authority cannot train me
Your expectations will no longer tame me

Your affection is not a treat
Your love is not a leash
I am not a servant that heels every demand and need

You cannot domesticate me

For I am a half-wolf woman,
Sovereign sister of the sun -
Wildfire smoke smoldering in your lungs
Harrowing headstrong den-mother, warrior with her blade drawn

A daughter born of cold moonlight, summer's breath and lightning strikes
Serpentine dancer veiled by midnight, a muse esteemed by ancient starlight

Both the gnashing teeth of howling wolves, and thundering beat of horses’ hooves
Angel bathed in the scent of spring flowers,
Monster under the red moon's hour
Uncivilized, unbending, unbidden, unyielding wild thing

Discerning, visceral churning
Intuition precision like a scorpion’s sting

Half-wolf Woman

Half-Wolf Woman
Poetry
2026

'' Midnight writing inspired by a short poetic quote I read on social media; the oppression and magic of women, and learning my own value outside of what I have to offer a man. It has instilled protective instincts in me over women and girls who cannot see their own, including myself at times - even now, despite a new state of awareness.
That self damaging self perception has been ingrained into our upbringing, and trying to meet those societal expectations robs us of our identity and autonomy for a long time.
