A special piece I illustrated as fanart for ATEEZ member, Yunho. ATEEZ was a pivotal point in my artistic journey where they reminded me what was important to me - and how my dreams mattered.
This drawing started as a sketch with one eye drawn, scanned - then digitally finished in clip studio paint. I referenced scenes from Hayao Miyazaki's films for the painting style. I studied the location on google maps for more accuracy. The background framework was completed through rotoscoping a photograph Yunho had taken of Toji Beach, in Japan from his instagram page. Each detail was carefully painted and intentionally applied. This was my very first completed piece in a very long time.
